Welcome!

Welcome to the website of PUPOL, the academic network for public and political leadership.

PUPOL was founded in 2012 in the Netherlands and received funding by the Netherlands Institute of Government. Since then, PUPOL has grown into a vibrant national and international network with scholars interested in and working on leadership research in Public Administration and Political Science.

In the coming years, the PUPOL network is looking to increase its activities even further, working towards special issues and exploring opportunities for further international collaboration. In 2016 the first international PUPOL conference took place in Nijmegen; the second international conference Leadership for Public and Social Value on 6th and 7th April 2017 has its venue at the Open University in Milton Keynes, UK.
